During the recent cold months it’s likely that pest and wildlife may have taken up shelter in your home. With spring upon us it’s a great time to start checking around your property for areas that may have been an entry point for wildlife. Raccoons and squirrels are some of the worst wildlife invaders into your home in the spring as they establish nesting sites.

Here are some steps you can take to deter wildlife from getting into your home.
- Bring pet food and water indoors and keep in a tightly sealed container.
- Trim trees back from the roof line.
- Although they are fun to watch and enjoy, bird feeders can attract rats and mice to your home. Suspend feeding if you see evidence of these pests.
- Clean out gutters.
- Keep outdoor trash in a tightly sealed container.
- Caulk & seal entrances around the home. Common areas are around AC and gas lines, garage doors, and gable vents.
